J has had three uneventful pregnancies, although the last two children were apparently macrosomic (overly large) and delivered by caesarean section.

J currently does not work, staying at home to look after her children. Her husband is a construction worker, and the main meal of the day is in the evening when he returns home from work. This usually consists of some red meat with vegetables and rice, followed by a simple but sugary dessert. During the day she frequently eats snacks rather than full meals, and she often eats the remains of her children's meals. She takes little exercise, preferring to take the bus to the supermarket and to visit friends.
