in Hong Kong. She is five feet and three inches (1.60 m)
tall and weighs 128 lb (58 kg). She has a family history
of diabetes: her mother and two of her four siblings have
diabetes [Chan, Hawkins,
and Cockram, 1990; Ng et al, 2000].
