American Diabetes Association
The American Diabetes Association is a foundation that provides promotes research and
education for patients and healthcare professionals. Its website provides both audiences with
a wealth of information on the prevention, screening, identification, and management of
diabetes. In addition, the ADA sponsors one of the major scientific meetings in diabetes, the
ADA Scientific Sessions, in June of each year.

CADRE
The Council for the Advancement of Diabetes Research and Education (CADRE) is a
nonprofit group in the United States that provides education and resources to healthcare
professionals. The CADRE website offers a collection of slides on diabetes management and
seminal trials, newsletter articles and case studies on topics ranging from pediatric diabetes to
lipid and hypertension management in diabetes and continuing education
monographs; their handbook, The CADRE Handbook of Diabetes

The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) is a global organization dedicated to advocacy for
people with diabetes and their healthcare providers. It consists of over 185 member
associations, and is a non-governmental organization in official relations with the World
Health Organisation and the Pan American Health Organisation, with the mission of
promoting diabetes care, prevention and a cure worldwide. The multilingual IDF website
